Vision

For as far back as history remembers aboriginal people of Turtle Island had the role as keepers and guardians of this land. Through turmoil, wars and change we have forgotten our nature and our role here. As such we find ourselves in an oppressive situation which we still have the power to change.

Have you ever heard the expression that states 'change takes place from within'? That is true on every level of change. Change and the power to change refers both to the individual and group consciousness.

If we change our minds about the results, the results will change naturally. The power to change something starts with accepting the power we've already been created with.

The potential we have as a group is our collective power. A group jointly focussed and motivated who all believe and act on the same vision together have the power to move mountains.

If we all agree and believe as a group that we have the power to change then we have taken hold of that power. Our reality emminates from within our belief structure. If we believe we are powerless victims of the government we are choosing to exercise our free will to give our power to the government. Being that it's a choice to believe in that way we can also change our minds and choose to believe differently. Our reality is formed out of our belief about ourselves and the world around us.

I put it to whoever listens to this message to choose differently and act upon it if you have been living in a reality with limitations and powerlessness. It all starts with changing the mind and the heart. From there we will be able to see what direction to take and act on to make this real.

Are we choosing to live in the future through our descendants?

Or are we choosing to accept a future of extinction?

We hold the cards, even though the government has redefined their own terms in which to honor there obligations.

That power will change if we exercise our collective intent and belief on creating such a change. It starts with believing in our own power instead of accepting that we've been robbed in some way. This is a difficult thing for many of us because it involves taking responsibility for each of our own lives.

It can be much easier to declare ourselves powerless victims rather then accepting responsibility and changing what we don't like about the situation.

All change starts from within. It starts with an idea then comes acceptance followed by action.

Do you accept the idea that if we marry and have children with 2 status parents we are empowered to counteract assimilation?

Will it prevent our future generations from being legislated out of existence if we encourage dating amongst other status people?

Do you believe we can instill good values into children before they are old enough to date?

Imagine a future where the majority of remaining single status indians decide to marry and have status children in spite of the cut off and to ensure the survival and growth of future generations.

Here's the vision I have in mind:

2004

Thousands of new relationships are being formed amongst people with native ancestry across North America in 2004 who met through the "First Nations Dating Network". Thousands of souls are waiting to be born through many of these couples.

2032

The population of people with native ancestry in North America who have recognized status rights has been steadily increasing for the last 12 years. It is expected that the population of status indians in North America will become a majority within decades. Perhaps reclaiming our roles as keepers and guardians of Turtle Island is as simple as growing in number. After all as a democratic society of voters our vote and voice will have much more power and relevance.
